    Abstract The effects of Cr and H on the yield and fracture strengths in pure Ni and Ni-20Cr alloy were investigated based on the Hall–Petch relationship. The Hall–Petch coefficient, which depends on the dislocation pile-up length and slip transfer resistance at the grain boundaries, drastically increased by 20 pct Cr addition and unchanged by gaseous hydrogen charging at 80 MPa. These results indicate that Cr increased the intergranular stress concentration associated with dislocation pile-up, whereas H did not.

    インヒビターとして金属イオンを含有する水溶液を用いて化成処理を行い、アルミニウム合金の高耐食化に成功した。化成処理を施したアルミニウム合金は優れた耐食性を示したが、高温かつ高塩化物イオン濃度等の過酷な腐食環境においては、一部の金属間化合物を起点として局部腐食を生じることが明らかになった。そこで、腐食起点となる金属間化合物を化成処理中に溶解除去することで、腐食起点を無害化する技術の開発に取り組んだ。その結果、金属イオンのインヒビターを含有する酸性水溶液を用いて化成処理を行うことで、腐食起点となる金属間化合物を化成処理中に除去できることを見出した。また、化成処理に先立ち、アルカリ水溶液を用いた前処理を施すと、短時間で効率的に金属間化合物がアルミニウム表面から除去されることが分かった。さらに、従来の金属イオンインヒビターよりも環境負荷の小さいインヒビターを用いて、金属間化合物を溶解除去する技術の開発に取り組んだ。アルカリ水溶液による前処理を行い、その後モリブデン酸などのインヒビターを含有する酸性水溶液で化成処理を行うことで、従来の化成処理法よりも環境負荷を低減しながら優れた耐食性を付与できることを発見した。 本研究では、腐食起点を化成処理中に溶解除去するという新しい発想を用いてアルミニウム合金の高耐食化に成功した。本研究で開発した化成処理法を用いることで、アルミニウム合金の機械的特性を低下させずに、高温かつ高塩化物イオン濃度の環境でも優れた耐食性を付与することができる。また、従来よりも環境負荷の小さい化成処理溶液を用いてアルミニウム合金を高耐食化することにも成功した。さらに、本研究で開発した化成処理法による高耐食化機構を明らかにし、アルミニウム合金を高耐食化する化成処理の新規開発指針を提案した。
