    In recent years, to reduce manufacturing costs and decrease the rare-earth supply/demand imbalance in the Nd–Fe–B magnet market, (Nd,Ce)–Fe–B magnets, in which Nd is replaced by Ce, have gained significant attention. In this study, we investigated the magnetic properties and microstructures of anisotropic (Nd,Ce)–Fe–B powders treated by hydrogenation–disproportionation–desorption–recombination (HDDR). The demagnetization curve of Nd12.5Febal.B6.5Nb0.2 after the grain boundary diffusion (GBD) process exhibited high squareness, whereas that of (Nd0.5Ce0.5)12.5Febal.B6.5Nb0.2 exhibited low squareness with a knick. Generally, the low squareness of the demagnetization curve is caused by the presence of different HcJ regions in the material. The XRD, SEM, and STEM-EDX analyses revealed the generation of different HcJ regions owing to two factors. The first was the presence of a ferromagnetic RFe2 (R = Ce and Nd) phase surrounding the R2Fe14B phase, which was observed in the starting material after HDDR and GBD. Consequently, this region showed a lower HcJ than other typical regions in which the R2Fe14B grains were surrounded by an R-rich phase. The second was the inhomogeneous distribution of Ce and Nd in each R2Fe14B grain. This inhomogeneity stemmed from differences in the equilibrium conditions of the HDDR reaction between Nd2Fe14B and Ce2Fe14B, leading to variations in the magnetocrystalline anisotropy and HcJ in the R2Fe14B grains.

    <p>The magnetic properties and the microstructure of Rh(001)/FeCo-Ti-N thin film, which showed uniaxial magnetic anisotropy were investigated. Uniaxial magnetic anisotropy constant (Ku) was calculated as 0.98 MJ・m-3 in the film with the thickness of 23 nm, and the c/a was estimated to 1.08. The analysis of Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) patterns taken from HR-TEM image showed that the c/a of the FeCo-Ti-N film reached to 1.12 at the interface of Rh/FeCo-Ti-N layers, and it decreased with increasing distance from the interface. These results indicate that the lattice strain induced at the Rh/FeCo-Ti-N interface could increase Ku.</p>

    The microstructure and magnetic properties of Mn&ndash;Sn&ndash;N and Mn&ndash;Sn&ndash;Co&ndash;N alloys were investigated. All the samples showed low remanences, although high coercivity of 876 kA/m was observed in the Mn&ndash;Sn&ndash;Co&ndash;N alloys. The substitution of Co for Mn increased coercivity. The sample with high coercivity consisted of a fine two-phase microstructure of 0.5&ndash;2 &micro;m in size.

    【目的】本研究では,磁性ソフト相・ハード相を含み,その二相組織が制御されたモディファイド磁性微粒子によって,次世代通信帯域で機能できる広帯域かつ薄型の電磁波吸収体の開発を目的とする。令和元(2019)年度は,ハードフェライト微粉末としてFe3O4,ソフト磁性粒子としてFeを購入し,共鳴周波数,電磁波吸収特性を測ることを目的とした。 【実験方法】(1) 上述の通りハード磁性フェライトとしてFe3O4,ソフト磁性としてFeの微粒子を購入し、まずこれらの磁気特性を調べた。(2)また,微粒子の充填率を変えた樹脂複合体を作製し,複素比透磁率μrの周波数依存性と共鳴周波数frを調べた。(3) 次に両者の充填率を変化させた混合粉末からなる樹脂複合体を作製し,(2)と同様,μrの周波数依存性と共鳴周波数frを調べた。(4)上述した(2),(3)の結果から電磁波吸収特性を調べ,電磁波吸収体としての可能性を評価した。 【結果】得られた結果をまとめると以下のようになる。1.Feの樹脂複合体において樹脂の大きさを20μm以下に砕き,40%以上の量にすると誘電率は安定して低下するが、μrには大きな変化は見られなかった。2.FeならびにFe3O4とも樹脂複合体における樹脂の量を多くすることで飽和磁化ならびにμrが低下する。3.FeとFe3O4の混合粉末において飽和磁化はFe量が多くなるほど高く、保磁力は低下する。4.3の樹脂複合体においてFeとFe3O4の量比を変化させることによりfrの制御が可能である。5.4の樹脂複合体は,厚さは厚いものの0.9GHz~2GHzの周波数帯で反射損失RLも-20dB以下となり,電磁波吸収体として機能できる可能性があることが判明した。

    In this study, magnetic properties and crystal structure of Fe2CuAl, Fe2CuGa, Fe2GaNi, Fe2NiGe and Fe2Ga films, which have Fe-based Heusler alloy composition, were investigated to obtain guideline for improving coercivity of Fe-based films. The films were deposited on MnO(100), STO(100) and YSZ(100) single crystal substrates by magnetron sputtering, and the films were annealed from 200 to 600 oC for 30 min. FeGa and Fe2GaCu films showed relatively high coercivity. The coercivity of Fe2GaCu film increased with increasing annealing temperature, and the value reached to 76 kA/m after annealing at 500 oC. Although XRD analysis shows that crystallization of cubic-Fe2GaCu phase by annealing, TEM observation indicates appearance of another phase with anisotropic crystal structure.

    The purpose of this study is to induce strain to FeCo thin films and to investigate the influence of the strain for the coercivity. 1. FeCo layer grew epitaxially on the Rh(001) buffered layer. After annealing, coercivity increased and lattice distortion of FeCo was observed at the Rh/FeCo interface. 2. Rh/FeCo-X, Rh/FeCo-X-N films (X=V, Cr, Zr, Sn) were prepared to induce some strain into FeCo layer on Rh buffered layer. The c/a increased for FeCo-X-N films, and the maximum value of c/a reached to 1.05. The film showed anisotropic hysteresis loops.

    【目的】本研究では、薄膜技術を用いNd_2Fe_<14>B/Nd-richモデル界面を作製し、Nd-rich相の酸化状態と界面組織ならびに保磁力との関連を調べている。本年度はNd-rich相の酸化状態を変化させ、界面に出現する各種Nd-rich相の存在割合を定量的に調べ、Nd-rich相の相変化ならびに組織変化が保磁力に及ぼす影響を調べた。 【実験方法】UHVマグネトロンスパッタリングにてNd-Fe-B層を成膜した。Nd-Fe-B層を低真空雰囲気下(O_2濃度~0.02Vol.ppm)またはArガス雰囲気下(O_2濃度~2Vol.ppm)で保持することで酸化処理し、250-650℃で60分間熱処理した。最後にTaキャップ層を成膜した。 【結果】1.Arガス雰囲気下で酸化処理後、350℃で熱処理すると保磁力は未酸化(as-depo.)試料の約20%まで低下したが、このときNd_2Fe_<14>B/Nd-rich界面にはhcp Nd_2O_3相の存在割合が高かった。一方、650℃で熱処理すると保磁力はas-depo.試料と同等の値まで回復した。このとき非平衡相であるアモルファス相などが界面に支配的であることを定量的に明らかにした。 2.酸素濃度の異なる雰囲気下でNd-Fe-B薄膜を酸化処理した場合の熱処理に伴う保磁力と組織の変化の違いを調べた。酸素濃度の低い低真空雰囲気下で酸化した試料では、350℃での熱処理に伴う保磁力の低下が抑制された。このとき、Nd_2Fe_<14>B/hcp Nd_2O_3界面の形成が抑えられている事が明らかとなった。一方、酸化条件によらず、650℃で熱処理すると保磁力は回復し、界面には非平衡なNd-rich相が支配的に存在することを定量的に示した。さらに、この非平衡なNd-rich相中にはNdだけでなくFeも含まれていることを明らかにした。 3.以上より、高保磁力型Nd-Fe-B焼結磁石の実現には界面にhcp Nd_2O_3相の形成を抑えるように酸素含有量を低減することが重要であると言える。また、650℃近傍で熱処理するとNd-Feからなる液相が出現し、その液相がNd_2Fe_<14>B/hcp Nd_2O_3界面に侵入することでNd_2Fe_<14>B相表面の格子の乱れを修復して保磁力が回復したと考えられる。さらに冷却後に界面に出現する非平衡相(アモルファス相)が、Nd_2Fe_<14>B相とhcp Nd_2O_3相を分断することも保磁力回復の一因と考えられる。
