This paper discusses the impact of energy poverty and its underlying causes. It emphasizes the role of economic inequality in exacerbating energy costs and the challenges faced by developing countries with limited access to growth, healthcare, and education. The research highlights the need for improved energy provision, addressing infrastructural deficiencies, and promoting sustainable energy solutions. It also emphasizes the importance of global cooperation and policy initiatives to overcome sociocultural barriers and legal loopholes. This paper explores the connection between energy poverty and climate change goals, advocating for equitable cost-sharing and international cooperation. Economic inequality is identified as a primary challenge in investing capital in vital energy infrastructure. The abstract calls for cooperative measures to address global economic inequality, such as fair-trade regulations and technology transfer. Insufficient infrastructure is described as obstructing economic growth, increasing environmental risks, and exacerbating social inequality. The abstract proposes working together at multiple levels, adopting state-of-the-art technology and renewable energy sources. It sheds light on the complex relationship between ecology and energy poverty, promoting renewable energy as a solution. Effective public awareness campaigns and education are deemed necessary for resource management and sustainable practices. The abstract emphasizes the importance of sustainable energy in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, gender equality, industrial progress, and values such as respect. Ongoing barriers, including inadequate funding, insufficient infrastructure, regulatory challenges, technological obstacles, cultural opposition, concerns about climate change, and educational gaps, are also addressed. A comprehensive and well-organized approach is recommended to ensure equitable and energy-efficient societies.

The term "digital economy" refers to a variety of commercial and economic activities that rely on electronic communications and technology such as e-commerce and digital marketing. This trend promotes innovation and allows small and medium-sized businesses to penetrate global markets with little expenditure. Furthermore, digital data from online interactions provides insights into consumer behaviour, which helps with marketing tactics and product development. Despite Japan's technological legacy, difficulties such as an ageing population and economic stagnation need the use of digital breakthroughs to stimulate growth. Empirical study demonstrates that the digital economy has a positive impact on industry restructuring in Japan. Regional disparities highlight the importance of specialized solutions, with government involvement critical, particularly in places lacking digital development. Future success is contingent on investments in talent and technology. Japan may achieve long-term economic development by adopting the digital economy and investing in human capital. As technology advances, Japan must adapt and innovate to remain competitive on the global stage. This necessitates continual research and development investments, as well as the promotion of an entrepreneurial and digital literate culture. Japan can solve its economic woes by harnessing its technology expertise and embracing digital transformation.

The Chinese economy had an extraordinary average GDP growth rate of 8.50 percent from 1980 to 2018. However, the implementation of one-child policy in the late 1970s has depressed the total fertility rate to below the replacement rate since 1992. China thus experienced an increasing composition of older populations in the past three decades, which puts pressure on Chinese economic growth and makes its eye-catching economic growth potentially unsustainable. This study develops an overlapping generations (OLG) model to investigate the impacts of this demographic transition in the Chinese economy. This study conducts six policy reform exercises to examine measures that could improve the sustainability of fiscal and pension systems. The simulation results indicate that a mild tax increase on either wage income or consumption does not improve the fiscal stance but creates distortionary effects on saving and consumption behaviors. Of the pension reform measures considered, the combination of extending the mandatory retirement age and cutting the replacement ratio offers the most significant improvement to pension sustainability. However, increasing the contribution rate of the working-age population has the least effect on pension sustainability and a noticeable distortionary effect on the consumption ratio and saving rate.

    More details Close

Consequently we implemented an international comparative study on local government management practices by surveying the perspectives of local citizens for the UK, US, Norway,New Zealand, Korea and Japan. The findings are as follows. (1)Current management practices in all nations are a mix of OPA, NPM and Post-NPM. This means that NPM is still alive and Post-NPM could not be regarded as a transformation from NPM. (2)In every nation, OPA still dominated NPM and Post-NPM. (4) In Asian countries, there is no dominant management principle. The strengths of three principles are much lower than other nations.
