<title>Abstract</title>We clarified the specific micrometric arrangement and nanometric structure of the radiolarian crystalline spines that are not a simple single crystal. A body of the celestite (SrSO4) skeleton of acantharian Acanthometra cf. multispina (Acanthometridae) composed of 20 radial spines having four blades was characterized using microfocus X-ray computed tomography. The regular arrangement of three types of spines was clarified with the connection of the blades around the root of each spine. The surface of the spines was covered with a chitin-based organic membrane to prevent from dissolution in seawater. In the nanometric scale, the mesocrystalline structure that consists of nanoscale grains having distorted single-crystal nature was revealed using scanning- and transmission electron microscopies, electron diffraction, and Raman spectroscopy. The acantharian skeletons have a crystallographically controlled architecture that is covered with a protective organic membrane. These facts are important for penetrating the nature of biogenic minerals.

<title>Abstract</title>The biostratigraphically important Permian radiolarian genera Pseudoalbaillella sensu stricto and Follicucullus (Follicucullidae, Polycystinea) are discriminated by morphological gaps in their wings and segmentation. Previous statistical analyses demonstrated that Longtanella fills morphological gaps between these two genera. Longtanella has long been regarded as a junior synonym of Parafollicucullus, and only a few species have been described. Herein several true Longtanella species are recognized from South China, and eight new species and five indeterminate species are described and illustrated to prove the validity of the genus Longtanella. In addition, a new genus, Parafollicucullinoides gen. nov., is described. Their palaeogeographic distributions and living environments are explored by applying correspondence analysis (CA), with occurrence datasets of selected fusulinacean genera from the Japanese Islands, China and Sundaland. CA results indicate that Longtanella was present to a limited extent in warmer conditions in the fusulinacean Province B and C during Kungurian–Roadian time, and possibly lived above the thermocline and below the deepest limit of fusulinaceans. The Pseudoalbaillella and the Follicucullus group preferred open ocean conditions, living below the thermocline and distributed not only in the ‘Equatorial Warm Water Province’, but also the northern peri-Gondwana Cool Water Province and the southern North Cool Water Province.

<title>Abstract</title>The classical taxonomy of fossil invertebrates is based on subjective judgments of morphology, which can cause confusion, because there are no codified standards for the classification of genera. Here, we explore the validity of the genus taxonomy of 75 species and morphospecies of the Follicucullidae, a late Paleozoic family of radiolarians, using a new method, Hayashi's quantification theory II (HQT-II), a general multivariate statistical method for categorical datasets relevant to discriminant analysis. We identify a scheme of 10 genera rather than the currently accepted 3 genera (Follicucullus, Ishigaconus, and Parafollicucullus). As HQT-II cannot incorporate stratigraphic data, a phylogenetic tree of Follicucullidae was reconstructed for 38 species using maximum parsimony. Six lineages emerged, roughly in concordance with the results of HQT-II. Combined with parsimony ancestral state reconstruction, the ancestral group of this family is Haplodiacanthus. Five other groups were discriminated, the Parafollicucullus, Curvalbaillella, Pseudoalbaillella, Longtanella, and Follicucullus–Cariver lineages. The morphological evolution of these lineages comprises a minimum essential list of eight states of four traits. HQT-II is a novel discriminant analytical multivariate method that may be of value in other taxonomic problems of paleobiology.

Entactinaria, an order of Radiolaria, are defined by a specific skeletal structure called "initial spicular system (ISS)". The oldest entactinarians appeared in the Ordovician period, and the extant species are thought to have survived until today. However, the morphological observation revealed that the ISSs of entactinarian families are highly variable, and the validity of this characteristic is questionable. This is supported by the results of 18S and 28S rRNA molecular phylogenetic analysis that suggested the polyphyly of the four families analyzed in this study. Orosphaeridae, Rhizosphaeridae, Hexalonchidae and Hexastylidae should be excluded from the order Entactinaria. Considering the present results and the diversity in the ISS, it is also possible that "living entactinarians" are polyphyletic.

The North Kitakami Belt of Northeast Japan, which consists of a Jurassic accretionary complex, is divided by the Iwaizumi Tectonic Line into two sub-belts, the Kuzumaki-Kamaishi and Akka-Tanohata sub-belts, which differ in terms of the dominant feldspar type in sandstone and the presence or absence of Paleozoic oceanic sedimentary rocks. We carried out a detailed study of the geology of the boundary area between these two sub-belts in the west Akka area in Iwaizumi Town, Iwate Prefecture. Our survey resulted in the identification of three tectonostratigraphic units. From lower to upper (east to west), these are the Takayashiki (mixed facies), Seki (coherent facies of chert-clastic sequences associated with thick sandstone layers), and Otori (coherent facies of chert-clastic sequences and dominant mudstone) units. Paleozoic fossils occur only in the Seki and Otori units, supporting the criterion proposed previously for identifying the location of the Iwaizumi Tectonic Line. However, the dominant feldspar composition of sandstone changes gradually from plagioclase-dominant in the Otori Unit, through equal amounts of both plagioclase and K-feldspar in the Seki Unit, to K-feldspar-dominant in the Takayashiki Unit. Thus, the feldspar compositions from west to east are not consistent with the proposed location of the tectonic line. The tectonostratigraphic units and sandstone compositions of the North Kitakami Belt are well correlated with those of both the Oshima and South Chichibu belts, which are the northern and southern tectonic extensions of the North Kitakami Belt, respectively. However, the oldest age of each unit is different between these three geologic belts. Paleozoic fossils have not been reported from the Shimonosawa Unit of the Oshima Belt, which corresponds to the Seki Unit, whereas the Sambosan Unit of the South Chichibu Belt, which can be correlated with the Akka-Tanohata sub-belt, yields Paleozoic fossils.

The 'Sueki' ancient pottery sites and the ruins of their kilns constitute the Minamihiki ruin group of kilns, the largest archaeological site of the "Big Four Ruins of Kilns in Musashi Province" in west Kanto Plain, that is densely scattered throughout the Iwadono Hills, Saitama Prefecture, Japan. The clay for 'Sueki' has been known to be derived from marine sedimentary rocks of this hill based on occurrence of fired marine siliceous sponge spicules from 'Sueki'. Fragments of 'Sueki' collected from the Shogunzawa 1A ruin of kilns in Ranzan Town and the Kawasaki site in Fujimino City yield the middle Miocene radiolarians. This age is the same with the depositional age of the Shogunzawa Mudstone Member of the Iwadono Formation. While fragments of 'Sueki' collected from the Osugi site in Ogawa Town and clay from Sue in Hatoyama Town contain the late Miocene radiolarians. This indicative age of radiolarians shows the same to that of the Hatoyama Sandstone and Mudstone Member of the Ohashi Formation. As the small fragments of 'Sueki' and a small amount of the clay for 'Sueki' examined in this study certainly yield radiolarians, both are considered to be derived from radiolaria-rich sedimentary rocks of the Shogunzawa Mudstone and Hatoyama Sandstone and Mudstone members.

Paleoceanographic and tectonic studies of the uppermost Cretaceous to the Quaternary around the Tasmania region based on ODP Leg 189 were reviewed from approximate 70 papers. The Tasmania Land Bridge blocked the seawater connection between the Pacific and Indian oceans by 35.4 Ma (timescale of CK 95), although a very shallow water path was already present from approximate 40 Ma. Prior to the opening of the Tasmanian Gateway, the Tasmanian region was strongly influenced by the 3rd order of the global eustaic change. After the Tasmanian Gateway substantially opened at 35.4 Ma, the bottom current strengthened between 33.5 and 30.2 Ma, and this gate opened fully after 30.2 Ma when nannofossil-ooze with planktonic foraminifers started to accumulate on the seafloor around the region.<br> The paleoceanographic and paleoclimatic conditions underwent a major change in the latest Cretaceous (Maastrichtian at least), the earliest Paleocene to the latest Eocene, the latest Eocene to the early Oligocene, the late Oligocene to the early Miocene, the early to the late Miocene, and the Quaternary.<br> This region was influenced by global climatic and paleoceanographic changes. A significant deepening of the Tasmanian Gateway occurred 1.7 my earlier than the Eocene-Oligocene boundary, and the surface water temperature rose during the significant opening of the gate. In the late Eocene, the climate in the summer of the Southern Hemisphere was relatively cool based on floral changes, although this cool condition did not affect to the marine faunal ecology.<br> Bottom water around the Tasmania region was common in this region by 28 Ma, whereas the sea-surface condition was different before 22.8 Ma. The full development of the Antarctic Circumpolar Current that flow over the seafloor was estimated at 23.95 Ma. Global paleoceanographic events such as the middle Miocene Climatic Optimum, Monterey Excursion, the middle Miocene climatic transition, and carbonate crash (=late Miocene carbon shift) were detected in this region.

Three continuous cores of 47m, 71m and 365m in thickness were recovered from the subseafloor at about 1200m water depth at Holes C9001A, C9002A/B and C9001C/D during D/V CHIKYU shakedown cruises of CK05-04 Leg 2 (16 November-14 December 2005) and CK06-06 (6 August-29 October 2007). The core sediments are composed mainly of diatomaceous silty clay, and are divided into four lithologic units from Units A to D at Hole C9001C. The Unit A is characterized by common intercalations of tephra/sand and higher magnetic susceptibility (MS), while the Unit B is rare in tephra/sand intercalations with lower MS. The Unit C is composed of unconsolidated sands, and the Unit D is similar in lithology with the Unit A. The integrated stratigraphy of micropaleontology, tephrochronology and magnetostratigraphy suggest that the bottom age of Hole C9001C core is correlated with the base of the Brunhes Chron (Chron C1n) that is assigned to about 780ka (Middle Pleistocene). The geological age of Hole C9001D ranges from 1.05 to 1.65Ma (Early Pleistocene). The oxygen isotope stages from Marine Isotope Stage (MIS) 1 to MIS 18 are recognized in Hole C9001C based on the correlation with a standard isotope curve, and these data accord well with the results of biostratigraphy and magnetostratigraphy. The Unit A ranges from MIS 1 to MIS 8 (about 300ka), and Unit B spans from MIS 9 to MIS 16 (300ka-640ka). The Units C and D are assigned to MIS 17 and MIS 18, respectively. Hole C9001C core has a continuous sequence without hiatus although a disturbance layer occurs around 150mbsf. Thus, the Shimokita cores have a strong potential to improve biochronology and revise geological time scales for the past 800kyr in the Northwest Pacific region.

D/V CHIKYU shakedown cruises of CK05-04 Leg 2 (16 Nov.-14 Dec. 2005) and CK06-06 (6 Aug.-29 Oct. 2007) were carried out off Shimokita Peninsula of the Northeast Japan. During these two cruises, three continuous cores of 47m, 71m and 365m long were recovered from the seafloor of about 1200m water depth at Holes C9001A, C9002A/B and C9001C, respectively. Cuttings samples were collected from Hole C9001D from 522 to 647mbsf in penetration depth using riser drilling. The onboard laboratory systems integration test including primary processing and measurements of the recovered cores were performed for laboratory performance evaluation and laboratory staff training. Two coring sites (C9001 and C9002) are located in Hidaka Trough that is a forearc basin under tectonic effects of both subduction and arc-arc collision. Cored sediments at four holes (C9001A, C9002A/B, C9001C) are mainly composed of diatomaceous silty clay, and divided into four lithologic units based on the lithology at Hole C9001C. Unit A is characterized by common intercalations of tephra/sand, while Unit B is rarely found in tephra/sand intercalations. Unit C is composed of a unconsolidated sands, and the Unit D is similar to the Unit A that is common intercalations of tephra/sand layers. The integrated stratigraphy based on micropaleontology, tephrochronology and magnetostratigraphy suggests that a bottom age of Hole C9001C at 365mbsf is assigned to about 780ka, and the geological age of Hole C9001D ranges from 1.05 to 1.65Ma. The sedimentation rate is high and nearly constant of 62cm/kyr at Hole C9001C and is low of about 17cm/kyr at Hole C9001D. The core of Hole C9001C has a continuous sequence without hiatus although the disturbance interval is recognized around 130mbsf. Based on the age model, the volcanic activity around the Northwest Pacific is thought to decrease during approximately 250-640ka of Unit B of C9001C using magnetic susceptibility data and the stratigraphy of tuff layers. The physical measurements of various methods revealed that two different lithology of Clays A and B are recognized in the sediments. The Clay A contains abundant diatoms during high productivity period, while Clay B is affected by inflow of high terrigenous clastics or low diatom productivity. These clays suggest a cyclic sedimentation controlled by the Milankovitch cycles.

A Bajocian to Early Bathonian (Middle Jurassic; Striatojaponocapsa plicarum Zone) radiolarian fauna was recovered from carbonate manganese nodules in siliceous mudstone of the Otori Formation in the North Kitakami Belt (Kuzumaki-Kamaishi Subbelt), Northeast Japan. The Otori Formation mainly consists of white to grey chert, and is marked by Permian red chert and Bajocian to lower Bathonian siliceous mudstone, although their original stratigraphic relationships have not been understood. This formation is tectono-stratigraphically correlatable to the Ryokamiyama Chert Unit of the Ohirayama Unit in the Southern Chichibu Belt in the Kanto Mountains.

Manganese nodules containing well-preserved radiolarian fossils were discovered for the first time from the Kuzumaki-Kamaishi Belt. They are in the mudstone of chert-clastic sequences and considered to be formed in situ from the mode of occurrences. The radiolarian fauna comprises more than 120 species, including Archicapsa pachyderma, Stichocapsa tegiminis and Trillus elkhornensis. The presence of S. tegiminis and the absence of its descendant Tricolocapsa plicarum indicate early Middle Jurassic age of these nodules, suggesting that a Middle Jurassic accretionary complex exists in the Kuzumaki-Kamaishi Belt.

Scleractinian corals were discovered from the limestone conglomerate distributed along the Shimochizawa River, west of Fukushi in the Kuzumaki-Kamaishi Belt (Jurassic accretionary complexes), Northeast Japan. These corals give the first evidence for Mesozoic limestone body present in the belt. The limestone conglomerates are lenticular in distribution pattern and interbedded in the thick bedded chert slab. They can be traced from the Shimochizawa River, trending NNW, to the north of Kita-Kawame over a distance of about 6 km.

The physiological ecology of a spherical polycystine species, Diplosphaera hexagonalis collected from the surface water of the Kuroshio Current in the East China Sea off Sesoko Island, Okinawa, was observed in a culture dish for three days. The observed specimen demonstrated cyclic extension and contraction of axopodia by a regular interval of ca. 630 seconds. Each cycle was divided intro four phases based on the state of the axopodia and movement of axopodial vacuoles. Vertical migration in response to axopodial motility was also observed. The specimen began to rise accompanied with the axopodial extension, floated in the seawater and often moved horizontally when its axopodia were radiated symmetrically, and began to sink in correspondence with the axopodial contraction. The effect of thermal currents on this behavior is easily neglected on the ground of the definite coincidence with the rhythmic extension and contraction of axopodia. The rhythm appears to play important roles in the physiological ecology of this species, including food capture and possibly buoyancy. The taxonomic section presents a nearly complete synonym list of D. hexagonalis and summarizes that the genus Diplosphaera is a senior synonym of Astrosphaera, Drymosphaera and Leptosphaera. Thus, Diplosphaera hexagonalis is the only valid name for this species, according to ICZN Article 55.3. Diplosphaera is considered herein to belong not to the family Actinommidae but to the Astrosphaeridae, unlike in most previous paleontological and biological studies. The family Macrosphaeridae Hollande and Enjumet, 1960, to which the genus Diplosphaera was assigned, is treated as an invalid name because the type genus Macrosphaera has not been established yet.

The region from Sakhalin in Russia to the eastern margin of the Japan Sea has been regarded as a convergent plate boundary zone between the Eurasia and the North America Plates because large earthquakes and active crustal movements are prominent in this zone. These activities along the eastern margin of the Japan Sea to southern Sakhalin are almost consistent with the expected relative plate motion deduced from the Euler pole which is estimated from the magnetic anomaly lineations in the Atlantic Ocean, but the modern tectonic aspect in northern Sakhalin is inconsistent; e.g., 1995 Neftegorsk Earthquake is one of the typical events.<BR>As a result of a structural and tectonic study in northern Sakhalin, the NE-SW compressive tectonic feature since the Late Miocene was clarified. In the northernmost area of the Schmidt Peninsula, the early Cretaceous ophiolite thrusts upon the Late Cretaceous sedimentary rocks. The ophiolite has an overturned sequence: serpentinites, gabbros, basaltic rocks, and hemipelagic sediments in descending order. The Cretaceous sediments form a map-scale and NW vergent synclinorium. All the deformation structures in outcrop scale, such as micro-folds, minor reverse and normal faults, axial plane cleavages and bedding slips, are consistent with a large scale folding. These structural relationships suggest only one event of deformation, which appears to be linked to overthrusting of the ophiolitic rocks.<BR>A structural investigation of the southeastern part of the Schmidt Peninsula revealed that the Middle Miocene sediments composed of siltstone and sandstone are folded with wavelength of several tens to several hundred meters. Their fold axes trend in the NW direction, which indicates that deformation under the NE compression is the same as the deformation in the northernmost area. The thickness of sedimentary layers are constant everywhere in folding. This fact indicates that the timing of the deformation is after sedimentation, that is, after the Middle Miocene. This deformation event is consistent with modern activity in northern Sakhalin. Therefore, the modern tectonic framework might have started in the Late Miocene time.<BR>A plate tectonic model indicates that the modern relative motion between the Eurasia and the North America Plate started at about 11 m. y. ago. The Late Miocene onset of the modern tectonic framework in northern Sakhalin occurred at almost the same time. The most reliable model to explain the discrepancy of sense of movement from the Eurasia-North America retative motion, may be the "extrusion" of the Okhotsk Block toward the Pacific Ocean. The dextral extrusion boundary in northern Sakhalin may be traced along theeastern coast of Sakhalin to the northern edge of the Kuril Basin, where active seismicityhas been observed although a detailed study of focal mechanisms and other tectonic aspects is needed in the future.

For the purpose of refining Neogene microbiostratigraphic time scale useful for dating marine strata distributed in and around Japan, studies were undertaken on middle and late Miocene marine and terrestrial sedimentary sequences distributed in the Shimokurosawa district, Ichinoseki City, Iwate Prefecture, Northeast Japan. These sequences are divided into three formations in ascending order ; the Shimokurosawa (largely consisting of sandstone and granular conglomerate, interbedded with tuff layers), the Kamikurosawa (sandstone with tuff interbeds), and the Genbi (consisting characteristically of welded tuff accompanied by some sandstone and granular conglomerate beds) Formations. The Shimokurosawa Formation is partial overlain unconformably by the Kamikurosawa Formation and the latter is in turn unconformably overlain by the Genbi Formation.Planktonic foraminifera, calcareous nannofossil, diatom and radiolarians were detected successively from the Shimokurosawa and Kamikurosawa Formations. These Formations are correlatable with planktonic foraminiferal zones from N. 10 to N. 14 of Blow (1969), CN 5 a to CN 5 b calcareous nannofossil zones of Okada and Bukry (1980), NPD 4 Bb to NPD 5 C diatom zones of Yanagisawa and Akiba (1998), and the radiolarian Eucyrtidium inflatum A to Lychnocanoma magnacornuta zones of Motoyama and Maruyama (1998).

This project started under the International Radiolarists Association (InterRad) to synthesize the concept of Cenozoic radiolarian general following the International Code of Zoological Nomenclature. International members from Japan, Spain, Switzerland, France discussed on the taxonomic status of all Cenozoic 1,730 genera one by one, resulting in a total 430 practically valid genera. Taxonomic ambiguity was examined with Nomarski Differential Interference Constrast Microscope. All 3,380 Cenozoic radiolarian species was rearranged their taxonomic positions at genus level to conclude practical 1,860 available names under the Code. In consideration of molecular phylogeny, we concluded that Cenozoic radiolarians are consisted of 60 families, 430 genera and 1,860 species. This result will be published for an international journal.

This research focused the explosive evolutionary history of radiolarian Nassellaria from the late Permian to the middle Triassic with geochemical evidences. Multisegmented Nassellaria, one of the diversified Radiolaria in the present ocean, was originated from the Triassocampe-lineage, and they diversified three or four major sub-lineages, and each lineage evolved to new genera like the genus Corum. In the late Permian, no serious mass extinction signals were recognized in radiolarian fauna, but significant unstable faunal shift was recognized. These events do not correspond to our geochemical data at this time, suggesting the presence of unknown but important paleoceanographic events in this geologic interval.

The North Kitakami Belt of Northeast Japan is situated between and links the Taukha-Oshima Belts and South Chichibu Belt. To create a geologic cross section and to elucidate a tectono-stratigraphy and accretion ages of the Jurassic accretionary complexes of the North Kitakami Belt in the Kuzumaki-Akka area, detailed geologic survey and Paleontological investigation were carried out. The key results are as follows: 1) We found that there was Late Carboniferous seamount basalt-limestone complex in the Kuzumaki area, and Late Carboniferous chert in the Akka area, suggesting the birth of oceanic plate constitute the North Kitakami Belt is dating back to the Late Carboniferous. 2) We discovered a deep-sea Permian-Triassic boundary bed (PTB) in the Otori Formation of the Akka area and confirmed a sharp negative sift of 13C value at the basal part of the black organic mudstone bed. This is the first discovery of PTB in Northeast Japan. 3) We elucidated the accretion age of the Otori and Takayashiki Formations as late Bajocian-Bathonian (Middle Jurassic) and Oxfordian (Late Jurassic), respectively. 4) The geologic structure of the Jurassic accretionary complexes in the Akka area is characterized by a broad syncline and anticline of seated units, and the accretionary ages of the units are become young in structurally descending order. From these data it is concluded that the boundary between the Kuzumaki-Kamaishi Subbelt and Akka-Tanohata Subbelt is extendable to the north running the, central part of the Oshima Belt of Southwest Hokkaido, and based on the similarities in the lithology and oceanic plate stratigraphy, the Otori Formation and its adjacent formations are correlatable with the Kashiwagi Unit and Ohirayama Unit of the Chichibu Belt of Southwest Japan.

We have obtained the following results through this Triassic/Jurassic (T/J) boundary research project on micropaleontology, 1) Pantanellium tanuense is considered to be one of global index species of Hettangian age (Earliest Jurassic). Archaeocenosphaera laseekensis and Praehexasaturnalis tetraradiatus are also good indicators for the Hettangian. 2) The end of Triassic is marked by the final occurrences of Globolaxtorum tozeri, Hagiastrid? gen.et sp.Indet A, and Risella spp. 3) The characteristic taxa, Spongotrochus sp.(Carter 1994) and Canoptum spp.are recognized, which occur across the T/J boundary surviving the mass extinction at the end of Triassic. Observation of Living Radiolaria suggests that the Canoptum spp.have tolerance of the crisis of end of the Triassic because of its unique feeding system that differs from other extinct multicyrtids. 4) The pattern of the faunal turnover across the T/J boundary is similar between Japan (Inuyama) and Canada (Queen Charlotte Islands) although there are differences among faunal contents and dominated species. The faunal change is subdivided into 3 stages. 5) Trough faunal comparison between Japan, Philippine, New Zealand and Canada, the faunal affinity around the T/J boundary is strong between Japan and Philippine, and also New Zealand and Canada.

Geological investigation in the Spassk, Samarka, Khabarovsk and Badzhal Belts of Sikhote-Alin, Far East Russia was carried out to correlate the tectonic belts of Far East Russia with those of Japan and to reconstruct a geotectonic framework of eastern Asia before the opening of the Japan Sea. The field observation of the deformed Cambrian rocks in the Spassk Belt revealed that so-called melange is not a melange but a deformed conglomerate. The Samarka Belt, which has been correlated with the Tamba-Mino Belt of Inner Zone of Southwest Japan, comprises mainly the Jurassic accretionary complexes, but also includes ophiolites and Permian clastic rocks, each of which is correlatable respectively with the Paleozoic Maizuru Belt and Ultra-Tamba Belt of Southwest Japan. We newly found out a radiolarian fauna belonging to the Pseudoalbaillella globosa fauna of the Late Permian from the mudstone of the Sebchar Formation, probably correlated with the clastic rocks of the Ultra-Tamba Belt. From the Khabarovsk Belt, Middle Permian fusulinoidean-bearing limestone blocks and Permian radiolarian-bearing chert were corrected. The Badzhal Belt in the Amursk district includes off-shore limestone with Triassic conodont, Buchia-bearing sandy mudstone and terrigenous mudstone with Triassic conodont-bearing calcareous nodular lenses. The last calcareous lenses of Triassic age are very interesting, because it indicates a existence of older continent in the Badzal Belt, which has been thought to be composed of Jurassic accretionary complexes. The Badzhal Belt in the upper Cool Basin comprises mudstone with siliceous tuff and sandstone, mixed rocks with chert blocks, and red and gray colored chert slabs yielding Triassic conodont. They are probably constituents of Jurassic accretionary complexes, but detailed construction for these rocks is still pending, because the corrected samples from the Badzal Belt are under examination.
