    Anisotropic magnetoresistance (AMR) effect on a Weyl semimetal Co2MnAl Heusler alloy was experimentally and theoretically investigated by changing the Co content, the direction of electric current against the crystal axis, and the measurement temperature. The experimentally fabricated Co2MnAl thin films epitaxially grown on a MgO single-crystal substrate showed the positive AMR ratios independent of the Co content, the direction of electric current, and the measurement temperature. The AMR ratios for the direction of electric current along Co2MnAl[100] were larger than those along Co2MnAl[110]. The maximum AMR ratios for Co2MnAl[100] were 0.576% at 5 K and 0.349% at 300 K for a Co content of 47 at. %, which is close to the stoichiometric composition. Furthermore, the theoretical calculations of AMR ratios based on the s-d scattering process of the electrons at the Fermi energy, including the information on the density of states (DOS) obtained from first-principles calculations, exhibited trends similar to the experimental results. Compared with the AMR results of Co2MnGa[110], we found that the magnitude relation between the partial DOS of the ε and γ orbitals of the d state of Co atoms determined the sign of the AMR ratios. These results suggest that the AMR effect of Weyl semimetal Co2MnAl can be elucidated by the s-d scattering process of the electrons.

    Abstract Zintl compounds have been extensively studied for their outstanding thermoelectric properties, but their electronic structure remains largely unexplored. Here, we present a detailed investigation of the electronic structure of the isostructural thermopower materials YbMg2Bi2 and CaMg2Bi2 using angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy (ARPES) and density functional theory (DFT). The ARPES results show a significantly smaller Fermi surface and Fermi velocity in CaMg2Bi2 than in YbMg2Bi2. Our ARPES results also reveal that in the case of YbMg2Bi2, Yb-4f states reside well below the Fermi level and likely have a negligible impact on transport properties. To properly model the position of 4f-states, as well as the overall electronic structure, a Hubbard U at the Yb sites and spin-orbit coupling (SOC) have to be included in the DFT calculations. The theoretical results reveal that both materials belong to a Z2 topological class and host topological surface states around EF. Due to the intrinsic hole doping, the topological states reside above the Fermi level, inaccessible by ARPES. Our results also suggest that in addition to SOC, vacancies and the resulting hole doping play an important role in the transport properties of these materials.

    <title>Abstract</title> We study IrCrMnZ (Z=Al, Ga, Si, Ge) systems using first-principles calculations from the perspective of their application as the electrode materials of MgO-based MTJs. These materials have highly spin-polarized conduction electrons with partially occupied Δ1 band, which is important for coherent tunneling in parallel magnetization configuration. The Curie temperatures of IrCrMnAl and IrCrMnGa are very high (above 1300 K) as predicted from mean-field-approximation. The stability of ordered phase against various antisite disorders has been investigated. We discuss here the effect of ``spin-orbit-coupling'' on the electronic structure around Fermi level. Further, we investigate the electronic structure of IrCrMnZ/MgO heterojunction along (001) direction. IrCrMnAl/MgO and IrCrMnGa/MgO maintain half-metallicity even at the MgO interface, with no interfacial states at/around Fermi level in the minority-spin channel. Large majority-spin conductance of IrCrMnAl/MgO/IrCrMnAl and IrCrMnGa/MgO/IrCrMnGa is reported from the calculation of ballistic spin-transport property for parallel magnetization configuration. We propose IrCrMnAl/MgO/IrCrMnAl and IrCrMnGa/MgO/IrCrMnGa as promising MTJs with a weaker temperature dependence of tunneling magnetoresistance ratio, owing to their very high Curie temperatures.

    We investigate and discuss electronic structures and tunneling conductance of magnetic tunnel junctions (MTJs) with the Co2CrGa and MgO on the basis of the density-functional first-principles calculations. We found that the CrGa-terminated Co2CrGa/MgO(001) junction has no interface states and preserves the high spin-polarization of Co2CrGa at the interface. We showed that the large enhancement of the interfacial Cr spin moment plays an important role to make the half-metallic gap in the CrGa-terminated Co2CrGa/MgO(001) interface. Finally, we have proposed that addition of an ultrathin Co2CrGa layer between Co2MnSi electrode and MgO barrier is effective to eliminate interface states in both sides of the junction with preserving the coherent tunneling through the Δ1 channel of the MTJ in parallel magnetization.

    New half-metallic ferromagnets have been found in a zinc-blende crystal structure. The zinc-blende CrAs has been designed by ab initio calculations and the calculation predicts the highly spin-polarized electronic band structure. The zinc-blende CrAs thin film has been synthesized on GaAs (001) substrates by molecular-beam epitaxy. The film shows ferromagnetic behavior at room temperature and the magnetic moment per formula unit of CrAs is estimated to be about 3 μB, which agrees well with the theoretical prediction. The photoemission spectra of the CrAs film showed the Fermi edges indicating the metallic characteristics and the small band dispersion derived from Cr-3d bands.

    We investigate and discuss electronic structures and tunneling conductance of magnetic tunnel junctions (MTJs) with the Co_2CrGa and MgO on the basis of the density-functional first-principles calculations. We found that the CrGa-terminated Co_2CrGa/MgO (001) junction has no interface states and preserves the high spin-polarization of Co_2CrGa at the interface. We showed that the large enhancement of the interfacial Cr spin moment plays an important role to make the half-metallic gap in the CrGa-terminated Co_2CrGa/MgO(001) interface.     A new class of half-metallic ferromagnets was found in the zinc-blende crystal structure. Zinc-blende ferromagnets, VAs, CrAs, and MnAs, were designed by using ab initio calculations based on local spin-density approximation, which predicts the highly spinpolarized electronic band structure.     New half-metallic ferromagnets have been found in a zinc-blende crystal structure. The zinc-blende CrAs has been designed by ab initio calculations and the calculation predicts the highly spin-polarized electronic band structure.     Excitation spectra for the fluorescent and phosphorescent components of type I bands in seven alkali halides, NaCl, NaBr, KBr, RbBr, NaI, KI and RbI, are measured in both energy ranges of the free exciton absorption and the band-to-band transition. Using SR pulses as the excitation light source, the two components are resolved by the method of simultaneous photon-counting through two independent time-windows.     In order to clarify the origin of the preferential relaxation of singlet self-trapped excitons (STEs) into the on-center configuration in alkali halides, we have studied variation of exchange splitting energy along the relaxation path from the on-center to the off-center configurations using a simple phenomenological model. Estimated exchange energy is several tens of meV both at the on-center and off-center configurations, and takes its maximum in between. It provides a larger potential barrier intervening between the on- and off-center minima for the singlet STE than that for the triplet ...

    The purpose of this research project was the development of ordered alloys for high performance and multi-functional spintronics devices and their application to spincaloritronics. We successfully improved the giant magnetoresistance (GMR) effect for the device with L21-ordered Co2(FeMn)Si full-Heusler alloy, and observed room temperature GMR using C1b-ordered NiMnSb half-Heusler alloy. We also achieved high magnetic anisotropy and low magnetic damping simultaneously for L11-type-stacked CoNi. In addition, we revealed the material dependence of anomalous Nernst effect, leading to the guiding principle for high spincaloritronic functionality.

    This study is aimed to control the spin-transport in Fe4N-based ferromagnetic tunnel junctions through the electric field effect by spontaneous polarization of a ferroelectric tunnel barrier. Various kinds of anti-perovskite-type transition-metal nitride thin films were successfully synthesized and their magnetic and magneto-transport properties were examined. The spin-polarized transport theory was newly constructed taking into account the spin-orbit interaction and crystal field effects, and successfully evaluated the spin-polarization of conduction electrons in ferromagnets with its sign through the anisotropic magnetoresistance effects. Epitaxial growth technique of thin films was developed for complex oxides as perovskite-type ferroelectrics. Electric field effects of ferromagnetic tunnel junctions with a ferroelectric barrier layer were investigated by the first-principles calculation.

    Ordered alloys show various excellent magnetic properties, and they are promising as materials for next-generation electronics. From a viewpoint of application to magnetic storage technology, it is expected to develop new ordered alloys with multi-functionalities. In this study, we have attempted to fabricate novel ordered alloys with a high magnetic anisotropy, a high spin-polarization, and a low magnetic damping constant by employing a monoatomic layer deposition method. A stacked structure with L1_0-type FePt, CoPt and Co_2MnSi and an L1_0-type FeNi thin films were successfully fabricated, and various properties of the materials were investigated.

    In order to contribute to the realization of new functional devices exploiting quantum nature of electrons, the theoretical basis for analyzing physical properties of nanometer-scale magnetic materials and devices has been constructed as follows : 1.The relation between atomic structures and spin-dependent transport phenomena has been clarified for epitaxial tunneling junctions and for metallic nanowires containing magnetic impurities. (M.Shirai, Y.Miura, K.Nagao) 2.The first-principles computational code for analyzing non-collinear spin structure has been improved so as to account the disorder in atomic and spin configurations within the coherent potential approximation. The electronic and magnetic structures in Mn-based disordered alloys have been investigated by using the computational code. (A.Sakuma) 3.The computational procedure which can account spiral magnetic structures correctly has been formulated on the basis of full-relativistic Dirac equations. (H.Yamagami) 4.The magnetic structure at ferromagnet/antiferromagnet interfaces has been analyzed theoretically in order to understand exchange-bias phenomena. The magnetic domain wall with a width of about 0.8 nm is found to be favorable energetically for Fe (110) monolayer. The formation of antiferromagnetically coupled oxygen molecule dimer (O_4 unit) has been found by the spin-dynamics simulation for liquid oxygen.     1. Diluted magnetic semiconductors (DMS) based on wide band-gap materials such as GaN and ZnO, which are exploited in optoelectronic device applications, have been designed theoretically on the basis of first-principles calculations. (1) The relative energy position and the degree of hybridization between the valence-band of host semiconductors and 3d orbitals of magnetic dopants are important to understand the mechanism of ferromagnetism in DMS. (2) The Curie temperature of DMS has been evaluated accurately by accounting the exchange interaction between localized spins in DMS as a function of the inter-atomic distance. Room-temperature ferromagnetism is hardly achieved for wide band-gap DMS since the exchange interaction is rather short-ranged. (3) The inhomogeneous distribution of magnetic dopants is expected in DMS due to attractive interaction between them. (4) The increase of Curie temperature is expected for DMS co-doped with non-magnetic elements appropriately. (5) The ferromagnetism could be obtained by doping non-magnetic elements appropriately into certain semiconductors. 2. Half-metallic ferromagnets exhibiting high spin polarization have been designed theoretically on the basis of first-principles calculations. (1) Zinc-blende CrAs and CrSb are promising materials for spintronic device applications since they are compatible with semiconductors exploited in conventional electronic devices. (2) The influence of atomic disorder in half-metallic Heusler alloys has been examined theoretically. High spin polarization is maintained even in the B2-type disordered structure. (3) The electronic structure of hetero-junctions between half-metallic ferromagnets and semiconductors has been investigated.     光スピントロニクス材料として期待されるワイドバンドギャップ磁性半導体において、磁性不純物の空間分布や格子欠陥が強磁性転移温度に及ぼす影響を第一原理計算に基づいて検証した。磁性不純物間には引力的な相互作用がはたらくため、希薄磁性半導体においては互いに磁気的に結合していない高不純物濃度クラスタが形成され、強磁性転移温度は低くなる。また、窒化ガリウムにドープされた磁性スピン間の強磁性相互作用は窒素空孔が存在すると弱められるので、高い強磁性転移温度を得るためには、窒素空孔の生成を抑制する必要がある。(白井) 光子-電子スピン量子メディア変換を量子力学的モデルで記述し、一光子の偏光状態から電子のスピン状態へ量子情報が転写される過程のダイナミクスを解析した。詳細な解析の結果、高い転写確率を得るためには、光子-量子ドット結合強度と量子ドットからのホールのトンネルレートの両方を入射光子のスペクトル幅よりも大きくとり、かつ、マッチング条件を満たす必要があることを明らかにした。(今村) 半導体微細加工で作製される微小なくびれ構造や量子ポイントコンタクトを利用した新しいスピン注入のアイディアを提案した。スピン軌道相互作用が存在する場合の量子ポイントコンタクトの輸送特性を数値計算によって調べ、電気伝導度の量子化が見られること、透過した電子は電流に垂直な方向にスピン分極すること、InGaAsヘテロ構造において50%以上のスピン分極が得られることを示した。他に、量子ドットにおける電子格子相互作用による位相緩和の解明、2重量子ドット系でのスピン結合の評価および量子演算のシミュレーションを行った。(江藤)

    従来の半導体物性に「スピン」という新しい自由度をもたらす様々な材料や構造が作製されるようになり、スピン機能を利用したデバイス実現へ向けた多くの基礎研究が行われるなど、これまで半導体ではあまり意識されなかったスピンを積極的に利用しようという研究が、ここ数年急速に進展している。本企画調査は、「半導体ナノスピントロニクス」分野およびその関連分野の研究者を集め、半導体や磁性体と半導体の複合構造中のスピンが関与する物性・機能およびその応用に関する研究成果について、集中的に討議することにより「半導体ナノスピントロニクス」の基本的な理解を深め,新しいスピン制御デバイスヘの応用の可能性を拓くことを目的として行われた。具体的には、平成14年12月19,20日に仙台国際センターにおいて「半導体中のスピン現象とその応用」に関する総合的な研究会(Physics and Application of Spin-related Phenomena in Semiconductors ; PASPS-8)を開催し、磁性原子を添加した半導体のバルク結晶や薄膜、磁性体と半導体から成る複合構造、非磁性半導体の量子構造、それらを微細加工した「スピントロニクスナノ構造」を対象に、(1)材料・構造の作製に関する材料科学、(2)キャリアスピン、磁性原子のスピン、光の間の相互作用に起因した光・電子物性,(3)キャリアあるいは磁性原子のスピンと伝導電子との相互作用に起因した電気伝導物性、(4)非磁性半導体中に注入・励起されたキャリアスピンのスピン緩和・スピンコヒーレンスなどのスピン物性、(5)以上述べた種々のスピン依存現象の応用可能性、に関して理論、実験、デバイス応用など様々な面からの研究課題を、口頭発表・ポスター発表形式で議論し、「半導体ナノスピントロニクス」と呼ばれる新分野の基盤技術を固めるとともに、21世紀の新しいエレクトロニクスに向けた我が国における研究コミュニティーを形成することができた。

    Injection of spin-polarized carriers into semiconductors is a basic technology for manifestation of spin-electronic devices which exploit both electronic charge and spin degrees of freedom. In order to improve the efficiency of spin-injection into semiconductors, completely spin-polarized (half-metallic) ferromagnets and their quantum superstructures with semiconductors, which are expected to be promising candidates for the source of spin-injection, have been designed theoretically by using first-principles electronic structure calculations. The results obtained by this project are as follows: (1) New half-metallic ferromagnets, zinc-blende CrAs, CrSb, and CrP, are designed theoretically. (2) The spin-polarization in these materials in almost unaffected by the spin-orbit interaction. (3) Antisite defects, Cr impurities at As-sites, reduce the spin-polarization in zinc-blende CrAs. (4) Zinc-blende CrAs/GaAs (001) multilayer structures maintain the half-metallic behavior. (5) An inhomogeneous doping method in suggested to realize Si-based ferromagnetic semiconductors.

    Changes of electronic states near the Fermi level on phase transitions are extensivelu studied by means of high resolution spectroscopy. The resonance photoemission technique was intensively employed. In the former half of the research, the spectral changes of the low carrier heavy fermion system YbィイD24ィエD2AsィイD23ィエD2 and related compounds were studied. The high reslution photoemission was successfully performed in the Kondo insulator system YbBィイD212ィエD2. In the case of the NdィイD21-xィエD2SrィイD2xィエD2MnOィイD23ィエD2, spectral changes through paramagnetic insulator-ferromagnetic metal-charge ordered insulator were observed for x=0.5. For x=0.47, paramagnetic insulator-ferromagnetic metal transition was observed and the Fermi cut off was observed down to the lowest temperature. In the latter half of the research, we constructed and commissioned the world-best performance soft X-ray beam line at SPring-8. The photoemission performed at 900eV for Yb system has shown that the surface YbィイD12+ィエD1 is almost suppressed. Thus the deconvolution which has been always required to derive the bulk YbィイD12+ィエD1 components from the spectra measured near 100eV is no more necessary to know the genuine bulk electronic states. The situation was more severe for the Ce system, where the deconvolution was useless because of the overlap of surface and bulk components. However, our bulk sensitive photoemision technique is found to provide the bulk spectrum. Thus we have found that the Ce 4f spectra can be scaled by the Kondo temperature. This unprecedented results are published in Nature and stimulating many scientists in the world. In parallel, the structure and magnetism were theoretically studied for taransition metal nitrides and YCoB systems. The lattice constants in the nonmagnetic phase, total energy, as well as magnetic moments were calculated.

  22. Thoretical Study on First-principles Calculation of Lattice Dynamics and Pressure-Induced Superconductivity

    Electronic band strucutures, electron-lattice interaction, lattice dynamics and superconductivity in high pressure FCC phase of solid iodine and bromine are studied in detail on the basis of the first-principles full-potential LAPW (FLAPW) method and the semi-empirical tight-binding method. The main results are summarized as follows. 1.The obtained band structures have three hole Fermi surfaces, and hence the FCC solid iodine and bromine are typical hole metals. The density of states at the Fermi energy N (E_F) decreases with increasing pressure. 2.Electron-lattice coupling has been evaluated microscopically by the tight binding method in which transfer energies and their derivatives are determined so as to reproduce the first-principles band structures obatined by the FLAPW method. The Fermi surface average of squared electron-lattice coupling <xi^2> increases considerably as the pressure increases. 3.The frequencies of the longitudinal (L) and the transverse (T) phonon modes at the X (0,0,2pi/a) point in the Brillouin zone (BZ) have been calculated by the frozen-phonon method. The obtained frequencies show hardening with increasing pressure. 4.The phonon spectrum of the whole BZ have been calculated by taking accout of the electron-lattice interaction and by considering only the nearest neighboring short range forces which were determined to reproduce omega_L and omega_T at the X point obtained by the frozen-phonon method. The average of phonon frequency <omega> and that of squared phonon frequency <omega^2> increases significantly as the pressure increases. 5.The value of N (E_F) <xi^2> increases considerably with increasing pressure, but <omega^2> increases more rapidly than N (E_F) <xi^2> as pressure increases. Therefore the dimensionless electron-phonon coupling lambda = N (E_F) <xi^2> /M <omega^2> becomes a decreasing function of pressure. As the results the superconducting transition temperature T_c also decreases with increasing pressure. The magnitude of T_c is in order of 1 K,which agrees with the experimental results. But, the calculated pressure-dependence of T_c is diffrent from that of observations in iodine. This discrepancy may suggest a necessity of treating the electron-lattice interaction in more first-principles manner.

(2)fillingが1/4の場合、同じ種類の軌道間の飛び移りより異なる軌道間の飛び移りが大きいときには強磁性相が現れ得る. 2.H_2NO結晶の非磁性電子帯構造の第1原理的計算 (1)H_2NOが同じ向きに並んだ1次元鎖および(2)H_2NOが交互に逆向きに並んだ1次元鎖が正方格子を形成する2つの仮想結晶に対してフルポテンシャルLAPW法によるバンド計算を行い以下の結果を得た: (1)NとOの反結合軌道が1次元性の強いバンドを形成し、フェルミレベルはこのバンドの中央、谷のところに位置する。従って、磁性が現れる場合には反強磁性である. (2)(1)に比較して1次元性が弱まりかつバンドの縮退が増加したためにフェルミレベルでの状態密度がかなり大きくなり、この場合には強磁性状態が現れ得る可能性がある. 3.H_2NO結晶の強磁性電子帯構造の第1原理的計算 2の(2)の場合について、強磁性状態における電子帯構造の計算を行い、全エネルギーと磁気モーメントを求めた.その結果、強磁性状態が確かにセルフコンシステントな解として求まり、分子1個当たり、約0.8から0.9μ_Bの磁気モーメントをもつことが明らかとなった.結晶が仮想的でありかつ分子間距離もあまり現実的でないところでの計算ではあるが、純粋な有機分子系でも金属強磁性状態が可能であり得ることを示した点で非常に有意義な結果である.

    Electronic vand strucurures and total energies are calculated for intercalated compounds A_xTiS_2 (A = transition-metals, silver, and alkaline metals) and trnary intermetallic compounds Mn_2Sb, Mn_3GaC, and Fe_7Se_8 by using the LAPW method. 1. A_xTiS_2 (A = transition-metals, silver, and alkaline metals) For the silver-intercalated compound Ag_x TiS_2 the selectronic states of silver atoms hybridize strongly with those of the host material, but a cohesive energy gain due to the hybrideization is rather small. On the other hand, the alkaline metal atoms only donate electrons to the host material. The chemical bonds between guest atoms and the host material are relatively weak for Ag_xTiS_2 and the alkline-metal-intercalated compounds compared with the transition-metal-intercalated compounds. From the total energy calculation it is confirmed that the ABC-stacking structure is more stable than the AB-stacking is favorable for Ag_xTiS_2. 2. Ternary intermetallic compounds Mn_2Sb, Mn_3GaC, and Fe_7Se_8 (1) Mn_2Sb : From the total energies calculated as a function of the lattice constants, a and c, it is found that the ferrimagnetic state is more stable than the antiferromagnetic state. The evaluated value of the linear compressibility along the a-axis is larger than that along the c-axis. (2) Mn_3GaC : It is found that both the magnitude of the magnetic moment at each maganese site and its volume dependence are larger for the antiferromagnetic state than those for the ferromagnetic state. Further, the antiferromagnetic phase becomes more stable than the ferromagneric state in larger volume side. (39 Fe_7Se_8 : In the ferrimagnetic state, the magnetic moments at crystallographically inequivalent iron sites have almost the same values with each other. The photoemission and the optical conductivity spectra clculated from the electronic density of states are in good correspondence with the observations.

    今年度行なった研究テーマそれぞれで得られた重要な結果ならびに知見を以下に示す。 1.Cu_2Sb型金属間化合物の磁気相図 遍歴電子磁性体Cu_2Sb型化合物の多様な磁気構造を決定している要因を明らかにする目的で、拡張ハバードハミルトニアンに基づき、電子の飛び移りエネルギーと電子相関エネルギーを表すパラメーター空間での磁気相図を決定した。主な結果は、(a)電子数nが小さい領域ではフェリ磁性が、nが大きい領域では強磁性が現れやすい、(b)nが中間の領域では強磁性が現れやすい、(c)なぜフェリ磁性が現れるかあるいはどの型の反強磁性が現れるかはフェルミ面の形やフェルミ面近傍の結合様式に依存する、である。原子軌道の代りに分子軌道を用いた議論を行えば、さらに重要な知見が得られると期待される。 2.LAPW法によるH_2NO仮想結晶の電子帯構造 マッフイン・ティンポンシャル近似を用いた計算では、予想されたことではあるがこの物質では共有結合性が強く、H_2NO分子の電子状態を反映したバンド構造を得ることはできなかった。次にフルポテンシャルを用いた計算を行なった結果、ある程度H_2NO分子の電子状態を反映したバンド構造を得ることに成功した。今回行なった計算は、H_2NO分子の性格を失わない範囲で密に分子を配列さをた構造における常磁性状態に対するものであるが、現実的な配列での磁性状態に対する計算も可能である見とおしがついたと言える。 3.磁気双極子相互作用に起因する磁気異方性エネルギー エバルトの方法で任意の結晶系でかつ任意のスピン配列に対して磁気双極子相互作用エネルギーを計算できるプログラムをほぼ完成させたので、今後、局在スピン分子磁性体の磁化容易軸の決定あるいはスピンフロップ転移の議論が容易に行なえると思われる。

    To clarify the nature of the d-electrons, either localized or itinerant, various transition-metal compounds, and to explain the observed magnetic properties, it is useful to know the electronic band structure for each compound. Previously we have made systematic band calculations for NiAs-type compounds, 1T-type and 2H-type layered compounds and their intercalation compounds, and Mn_3MC-type compounds with M=Zn, Ga, Sn. The nature of bonding in these compounds were elucidated by calculating the bond orders. Furthermore, anomalous magnetic properties observed in NiAs-type compounds, such as MnAs, CoAs, and FeAs, have been explained on the basis of spin fluctuation theory developed by Moriya, by taking account of characteristic behavior of the density of states obtained for each compound. During recent two years, we have calculated electronic bands of cubicperovskite-type compounds, Mn_4N and Mn_4C, Cu_2Sb-type compounds, , Mn_2As, Mn_2Sb, Cr_2As, Fe_2As, Cu_2Sb, MnAlGe, MnGaGe, MnZnGe, and Cu_3Au type compounds FePt_3, FePd_3, for non-magnetic and magnetic(ferro or antiferro)states. Self-consistent APW and LAPW methods are used. The magnetic moments calculated for all compounds are in good agreement with observed values. Furthermore, the overall feature of the calculated density of states of Mn_2Sb, MnAlGe and Cr_2As shows good correspondence with the spectrum observed by photoemission and inverse photoemission measurement.
