平成20年１月の中央教育審議会答申を受けた現行の学習指導要領では、小学校・中学校で養い、豊かにしてきた「思考力や想像力」を、高等学校では「伸ばし」、さらに「心情を豊かに」することが求められている。また関心を深める対象が「国語」（小学校・中学校）から「言語文化」（高等学校）となっており、文化としての言語に対して広くかつ深い関心をもつことが高等学校における目標となっている。しかし「学校教育」「教科書」という制度・制約のもとでは、その不可能性からいくつかの限界が考えられる。国語科で扱える「感性や情緒」、「ものの見方、感じ方、考え方」、「想像」、「心情」、「言語文化」には限度があり、広がりや深みは制限されてしまう。そこで、「教科書」に掲載することは教育的配慮により不可能と思われるが、感情の本質に迫る作品を示すことで教材発掘の一助としたい。今回は、「嫉妬」を描いた作品として、現代文からは江戸川乱歩「白昼夢」、古文からは『今昔物語集』より「美濃国紀遠助値女霊遂死語」、漢文からは『聊齋志異』より「姚安」を提出する。

<p> Between 1930 and 1931, Kawabata Yasunari, who was at that time influenced by Ito Sei's novels and criticism, Freudian psychoanalysis and James Joyce' s Ulysses, brought out some avant-garde texts such as'Hari to garasu to kiri (A Needle, Glass and Mist)' and'Suishô gensô (The Crystal Fantasy)', which are categorized as his 'New Psychological Approach' works. The essence of these attempts by Kawabata has not been sufficiently elucidated and they are slighted by critics either as manifestations of his impetuous experimentalism or stemming from his own innate tendency. This paper, making comparative investigations on the cross-disciplinary discourses between psychoanalysis and literature around 1930, will show Kawabata's unique perspective and make clear the characteristics of his works.</p><p> Kawabata is distinguished from his contemporaries in that he was a methodologist literary innovator who aimed at reforming literary forms and styles rather than ontologically examining the human mind. Actually, his attitude accords with that of 'Hari to garasu to kiri'. With all of its psychoanalytic elements, the work also deviates from them and produces a fluctuating, complex écriture, avoiding direct presentations of the depth of the mind. In fact, the characteristics of Kawabata's 'New Psychological Approach' are harbingers of his later works. Thus, the problem of his 'New Psychological Approach' can mean a key reexamining of the literary dogma which connects Kawabata solely with the ideas of 'Japan-ism' and 'traditionalism'.</p>

In postwar period, although people were eager for reading publications, there were not enough publications. This was because the printing and publishing functions in metropolitan areas were lost in air raids, and papers supplies from oversea land were also lost. These local magazines have not been collected systematically and under tendency of dispersion. In this cooperative research, we conducted a comprehensive survey of these magazines by collecting old books and researching in the Prage Collection (known as documents of censorship which carried out in the occupation period) and in libraries of various regions. The result is “Dictionary of Local Magazines in the Occupation Period” which will publish in 2022.

This study preliminarily attempted to reconstruct a history of folklore studies in the context of Japan after World WarII.In this study, we presented the following findings:The presence of local researchers and a direction of local historical studies, which leads to folk studies later on.The process, where the concept of folk studies spread among a local district (it was revealed based on documents, which were possessed in the Ogarako Folklore Museum). The Museum was founded in 1961 by an industrialist,who was instructed by Keizou Shibusawa.The founder planned to take advantage of folkcraft articles for tourism.The first director of the Museum Hitoshi Nakamichi,on the other hand,attempted to make a linkage between local history and folk studies.Furthermore,the novelist Yoichi Nakagawa,who was involved with the Museum, produced the image of kappa (a Japanese sprite) unlike the conventional tradition. Thus,this museum was established based on a variety of conceptions by different people.

In this study, I collected "Tohoku" representations in avant-garde literature and art from the 1960's to the 70's, including Shuji Terayama and Tatsumi HIJIKATA, and analyzed their characteristics with a view to their relationship with cultural and social contexts. In addition, he extensively investigated how Terayama and Hijikata's discourse and practice concerning "Tohoku" affected cultural events in the Tohoku region. Based on the above results, we attempted to comprehensively consider "Tohoku" representations in avant-garde art and their impact on local culture.

This study surveys the characteristics of literary modernist discourses of “the Orient” and “tradition” in 1920s Japan, and analyzes them in the context of other contemporary arts. Contrary to common belief, one can identify many discourses which value positively “the Orient” and “tradition” in Japanese modernist literature. In this study, I ascertain the details of these discourses through a comprehensive survey of literary magazines and coterie journals, and then examine the contemporary significance and internal logic of each case.

We conducted a complete enumeration of newspaper articles related to the literature and cultural activities, and created the material basis for forecast the cultural activities in the Tohoku region. The dynamics of the derived literary activities through specific contact that occurred in the evacuation was revealed by research with a focus on local magazine. As a result, various specific phase, such as the relationship between literary modernism and regional characteristics, the actual situation of the regional activities of the evacuation poets, was revealed. We also have provided a new view about the relationship between a regional and nationalism in the background.
