    Abstract <p>Carbodications, bearing two positive charges on carbon atoms, are emerging as powerful superelectrophiles in organic synthesis. Traditionally formed through single-electron oxidation of overcrowded electron-rich alkenes or acid-mediated dehydration of diols, these species show high reactivity toward carbon-based nucleophiles. However, their reactivities with heteroatom nucleophiles like amines and water remain underexplored, largely due to difficulties in controlling oxidation and undesirable acid–base interactions. Here, we report for the first time that carbodication species generated under mild electrochemical or photocatalytic conditions display remarkable electrophilic reactivity toward primary amines and water. This enables a novel intermolecular umpolung [4+1] cycloaddition, proceeding via a cis-olefin-bridged dicationic intermediate, energetically favored over its trans-isomer, yielding a new class of thioxanthene-based dispirocycles with 2,5-dihydro-1H-pyrrole or 2,5-dihydrofuran central cores. Theoretical studies of electrochemical cycloaddition with aniline suggest that hydrogen bonding between aniline and the fluorine atom of the nBu₄PF₆ electrolyte stabilizes the transition state, promoting nucleophilic addition.</p>

    Abstract The insertion of diazo carbene into Si−H bonds with unsupported nanoporous copper (CuNPore) catalyst has been developed. α‐Aryl diazoesters, diazophosphonates, and unstable aryl diazoalkyls can be used as carbene precursors to exquisitely insert into the Si−H bond of silanes. A variety of α‐silylesters, silylphosphonate, and functionalized arylsilane were obtained in 35–82% yields. The reusability feature of the CuNPore catalyst for this insertion reaction demonstrated its high heterogeneous catalytic activity and practicality. Further, mechanistic studies revealed that the insertion of carbene from diazo compounds into the Si−H bond may include a three‐center concerted transition state on CuNPore.

    今回我々は、ナノポーラス金(AuNPore)触媒がメチレンシクロプロパン(MCP)のジホウ素化反応において優れた選択性を示すことを見出した。これまで報告されているPt(0)分子触媒を用いた、MCPのプロキシマル位のC-C単結合の切断を経るジホウ素化反応と異なり、AuNPore触媒を用いると、MCPのジスタル位のC-C単結合が選択的に切断され、ジホウ素化反応が進行することを初めて見出した。メチレン末端に様々な置換基を有するMCPとB2(pin)2ジホウ素剤がAuNPore触媒存在下、ジホウ素化反応が選択的に進行し、対応する1,3-ジホウ素化生成物を良好な収率かつ高選択的に得られた。 AuNPore触媒によるMCPのジスタル結合の選択的切断の経路と中間体を考察するため、Au(111)面をモデルとして置換基を持たないMCPの結合切断エネルギーおよび炭素上の電荷変化のDFT理論計算を行った。その結果、プロキシマル結合活性化遷移状態TS2に比べて、ジスタル結合活性化遷移状態TS1の活性化エネルギーが大きく低下していることがわかった。さらに、Au(111)面上のジスタル結合が切断されたtrimethylenemethane(TMM)中間体Int_Aは、プロキシマル結合が切断された中間体Int_Bよりかなり安定であることがわかった。特に、TMM中間体Int_Aのtrimethyleneの三つの炭素は中性MCP分子に比べ高い電子密度を有しており、電子不足のホウ素原子との相互作用により選択的ジホウ素化反応が進行したと考えられる。さらに、シクロプロパン上にフェニル基を有するMCPがAuNPore触媒を用いた同様な条件で、シクロプロパン上に置換基がないMCPと同様な生成物を与えた。この結果はDFT計算で得られた特異な電子構造的有するTMM中間体の形成を示唆している。

    The selective monocyclization of Cationic Lithium Endohedral Fullerene with dibromide in the presence of manganese powder has been studied. The selective cyclotrimerization of 5-bromothiazole through sequential C-H bond functionalization has been developed in the presence of Pd(II) catalyst toward synthesis of novel star-shaped π-extended benzotristhiazoles. The biphenyl-tethered ortho-alkynylanilines undergo the tandem cyclization through Pd(II)-catalyzed C-N/ortho-C-H bond cleavage to give the corresponding dibenzo[a,c]carbazoles effectively. A novel FeCl3-mediated oxidative spirocyclization for construction of a new class of dispirolinked π-conjugated molecules, dispiro[fluorene-9,5'-indeno[2,1-a]indene-10',9''fluorene]s (DSFIIFs), has been developed. A highly efficient single electron oxidative spirocyclization and 1,2-aryl migration tandem synthetic method for the construction of extended polyaromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) has been developed.

    Bulk heterojunction solar cells, based on P3HT donor and the deuterated C60 acceptor, exhibited a higher photovoltaic performance as compared to the corresponding protonated C60 device. By using a new Mn-promoted C60-cycloadditon, the standard OPV acceptors, such as PCBM and ICBA, have been obtained in extraordinarily high yields. The Cu-catalyzed C-H amination of the monofunctionalized hydrofullerenes and Ni-catalyzed dibenzylation of C60 efficiently produced the monoamino- and dibenzyl-substituted 1,4-adducts, respectively. A novel Pd-catalyzed cascade crossover-annulation of o-alkynylarylhalides and diarylacetylenes has been developed for the synthesis of dibenzo[a,e]pentalenes. A novel Pd-catalyzed dual C-H activation of bis-biaryl alkynes produced important and useful products 9,9'BF derivatives in high yields. A novel FeCl3-mediated oxidative spirocyclization has been developed for construction of a new class of dispirolinked π-conjugated molecules.

    Various nanoporous metals including Au, Pd, Cu, AuPd have been fabricated and their nanoporous structures were characterized by SEM, TEM, HRTEM, EDX, and BET. The nanoporous gold proved to be an excellent heterogeneous catalyst in oxidation of alcohols and organosilanes, selective reduction of alkyne, quinoline, imine, aldehyde, and ketone, selective diborylation of and hydrosilylation of alkynes, dehydrogenative cross-coupling of α-C(sp3)-H of amines, and benzannulation. Moreover, the nanoporous-Pd catalyst is a promising heterogeneous catalyst for the Suzuki coupling and Heck reaction. The nanoporous copper catalyst exhibited a distinct nanosize-dependent catalytic activity in the Click reaction of the terminal alkynes and organic azides. Interestingly, the AuPd alloy nanoporous catalyst showed a remarkable synergistic effect for the heterogeneous 1,4-hydrosilylation of conjugated cyclic enones with organosilane in comparison with nanoporous monometallic catalysts.

    25年度では、同一時空間集積化を用いて系中で生成したフラーレンモノラジカル活性種をすぐに系中で生じるほかのラジカルや反応剤と反応させると興味深いフラーレン環化付加体および異なる置換基を有する1,4-二置換フラーレン誘導体の触媒的合成が可能であると考えた。以下に成果の概要を示す。 [1]コバルト触媒を用いたフラーレンの選択的環化付加反応 CoCl2dppf触媒条件とMn還元剤の存在下、C60と様々な活性ジブロモ化合物の環化反応を検討した。種々の置換基を有する1,2-ビスブロモメチルベンゼンやナフタレン誘導体を用いると、フラーレン6員環生成物が良好な収率かつ高いモノ環化付加選択性で得られた。また、1,2,4,5-テトラキスブロモメチルベンゼンを基質として用いるとフラーレンの環化付加二量体合成が可能である。さらに、本反応の条件下、適当な活性ジブロモ化基質を用いると、3員環、5員環、7員環を有するフラーレン環化付加誘導体の合成ができた。 [2]銅触媒を用いたモノアミノ化1,4-二置換フラーレンの合成 酸素雰囲気中CuBr2触媒存在下、モノ置換ヒドロフラーレンとジベンジルアミンの反応において、ODCB溶媒に少量のDMF混合溶媒を加えると効率的にアミノ化1,4-二置換フラーレン誘導体が得られることを見出した。さらに検討を行ったところ、前述の環化反応と同様に、本反応は同一時空間で生じたフラーレンモノラジカルと銅触媒により形成したアミンラジカル種との分子間ラジカルカップリングにより進行することがわかった。また、フラーレンモノラジカルはアミンの塩基反応剤と酸素により形成することも明らかにした。

    In this project, we have developed an unprecedented Br・nsted acid-catalyzed cascade cycloisomerization of 1, 6-or 1, 7-enynes that affords tri-or bicyclic compounds in good to high yields. This is the first report for the Br・nsted acid-catalyzed cleavage of an inactive C(sp^3)-H bond. Moreover, we have demonstrated that triflic acid efficiently catalyzed the novel cascade cycloisomerization of arenyl 1, 7-enynes via the formation of acetylene-cations and subsequent C(sp^2)-H activation, affording fused polycyclic compounds in good to high yields under mild reaction conditions. We have also found that TfOH promoted the cascade cyclization of aryldiynes having ο-anisole substituent through the cleavage of C-O bond.

    Novel Pd-and Au-catalyzed molecular transformations have been developed through the modification of ligands and counter anions which showed high reactivity and selectivity. A variety of Norbornane derivatives have been synthesized and successfully used in the Pd-catalyzed asymmetric intramolecular hydroamination of alkynes. The newly prepared (R, R)-methyl norphos and (R, R)-toly renorphos afforded N-containing heterocyles in high yields and high enantio-selectivity. Moreover, novel Pd-catalyzed allylative dearomatization and three-component cycloaddition were developed. We have succeeded in development of cationic Au-catalyzed hydroalkoxylation and hydrothiolation. Moreover, we also succeeded in construction of thienocarbazole frameworks via a new Au-catalyzed cascade cyclization of arydiynes, which was further applied in the synthesis of D-A-D organic electronic materials. Various O-, S-and N-containing heterocyles bearing diiodine substituents have been synthesized through the facile and efficient electrophilic iodocyclizations.

    近年、π配位ルイス酸性遷移金属触媒、例えば、金、銀、銅、白金およびある種のパラジウム触媒による炭素-炭素三重結合の活性化とこれに対するヘテロプロ求核体の触媒的付加反応による新規炭素-炭素、炭素-ヘテロ原子結合形成反応は活発に研究され、最近の有機合成のトピックス的存在となっている。平成19年度の成果として、我々は、炭素側鎖を有するアルキニルカルボニル化合物がカチオン性金触媒存在下、分子内ヘテローエンインメタセシス反応が進行し、対応する多置換環状エノンが効率的進行することを見出した。本反応は、環境調和型手法により炭素-炭素結合と炭素-酸素原子結合を同時に構築する新しい有機合成方法論であり、カチオン性金触媒の炭素-炭素三重結合の活性化によりアルキンとカルボニル官能基の[2+2]環化反応と開環反応を経て進行している。我々は、同様な反応条件下、基質のアルキンの末端の置換基が共役アルケンである場合、金触媒のアルキンに対するπ配位と引き続き系内で生成する共役エノンのカルボニルに対するσ配位、すなわち、分子内ヘテローエンインメタセシス反応とNazarov環化反応、により連続的炭素環構築反応が進行し、様々なポリ環状エノンが効率的に得られることをみいだした。例えば、AuCl3/AgSbF6共触媒存在下、様々な共役環状または非環状エンイニルケトンをトルエン溶媒中反応させると5員環エノン骨格を有する2環性、3環性、4環性ポリ環状化合物が一気に良い収率で得られた。また、同様な反応条件でアルキン末端が電子供用基またはナフタレン置換基である場合も同様に反応が進行し対応する芳香環を有するポリ環状化合物を与えた。本反応では金触媒がπ配位ルイス酸性とσ配位ルイス酸性の二元的役割を果たしている。

    Stereocontroll via σ-π chelation was achieved by using group 13 Lewis acids. During this study, we found that some palladium (II) species act not only as transition metal catalyst but also as Lewis acid catalyst. Based on this finding, total syntheses of natural products, BCH-2051 and vibsanol, were achieved. Furthermore, antibiotics, (+)-ochromycinoneand (+)-rubiginone B2, were synthesized by using novel Au catalyst. Asymmetric allylation of imine derivatives was achieved by using optically active bis-π-allylpalladium, and the reaction was applied to the preparation of a synthetic intermediate of DMP-777. As a related reaction, novel synthetic method for cyanoindoles via three component coupling was developed. We found that the intramolecular reaction of amines and alkynes give nitrogen heterocycles in the presence of palladium/acetic acid catalyst. This reaction was applied to the total synthesis of an alkaloid, 209D. α-Allylation of hetero-aromatics and ketones were achieved by using methylenecyclopropane and palladium catalyst. On the other hand, the reaction with methyleneaziridine provided pyrrole derivatives having a pyridine or benzene ring. Total syntheses of marine polycyclic ethers, gambierol and brevetoxin B, were achieved via the intramolecular allylation followed by ring-closing metathesis.
