今年度における主な成果は下記の３点に纏められる：１．前年度に予定した通り，新たな参照資料として「ツォンカパ全書」のラプラン（Bla brang）版を入手し，先に完成させていた『大楽明示』（bDe chen gsal ba，Toh蔵外5323；ツォンカパの著した〈生起次第〉の実修マニュアルであり当該研究課題遂行上中心を為す典籍の一つ）の校訂テクストとの校合を行うことで読みの精度の向上を図ると共に，異読の追記を行った。２．前年度に引き続き『チャクラサンヴァラ現観』（ルーイーパーダの主著であるチャクラサンヴァラ成就瞑想綱要書）の詳細な註釈書『如意牛』（'Dod pa 'jo ba，Toh蔵外5320）の読解にも取組み，その成果をbDe chen gsal baの訳註作成に反映させて〈前行次第〉までの部分の完成を見た。３．これもまた前年度に引き続き〈究竟次第〉の実修マニュアルである『大瑜伽要略導次第』（rNal 'byor chen po'i 'khrid kyi rim pa mdor bsdus pa，Toh蔵外5340）の校訂テクストの整定作業を進め，同じくツォンカパが〈究竟次第〉の解説書として著した『悉地の穂』（dNgos grub kyi snye ma，Toh蔵外5325）とも併せて両書の科文（synopsis）を作成してその構成を明らかにした。しかし下記「現在までの進捗状況」で述べるような事情のため，当初予定していた前書の校訂テクスト完成には到らなかった。

The results of this research can be summarized as follows: (1) In collaboration with the Indo-Tibetan Lexical Resource (Universitaet Hamburg), a database was made for texts etc. related to the Vikramasila monastery. (2) Each of the research members worked on the relationship between tantric and non-tantric doctrines (such as Yogacara, Madhyamaka, and Tathagatagarbha) explained in the works of the monk-scholars of the Vikramasila monastery. (3) Based on (1) and (2), we also discussed the existence of a community of thought regarding the relationship between tantric and non-tantric doctrines. The outcomes of (2) and (3) have been published in a special volume (vol. 40) of the Journal of International Association of Buddhist Studies.

The results of this research are as follows: (1)A critical text and annotated Japanese translation of 7 books belonging to Luyipada School on Cakrasamvaratantra cycle by the Sa skya pahi sgon lna and Bu ston Rin chen grub was made. (2)Based on (1) the characteristics of 7 literature mainly focused on their meditative generation of mandala were examined in 3 papers to make clear the way of the transmission and development of Luyipada School's practice system in Tibetan Buddhism.

During the five-year term of this project from 2011 to 2016, the research was executed by the effective use of XML (Extensible Markup Language). The project applies the method, which was previously established by our related project on the analysis of Sarvastivada's Seventy-five dharmas, to the other two fields, namely the corresponding dharma-systems of both Early Buddhism and Yogacara scool. The above research brought to us the following two books: The One Hundred Elements (dharma) of Yogacara in the Abhidharmasamuccaya and Pancaskandhaka, Bauddhakosa II, ed. by Akira Saito et al and Pali Terms Corresponding to the Seventy-five Elements (dharma) up to Buddhaghosa, Bauddhakosa III, ed. by Fumio Enomoto et al, both of which were published from Tokyo: Sankibo Press, 2014. Besides, Those contents, along with its more detailed data, are now widely opened in the Home-page of this project (http://www.l.u-tokyo.ac.jp/~b_kosha/html/preface_1.html) .

The results of this research can be summarized as follows: (1) A database was made for important texts preserved or known at the Vikramasila Monastery. (2) Each of the research members worked on the relationship between mantranaya and paramitanaya explained in the works of the monk-scholars of the Monastery. (3) Based on (1) and (2), we also discussed the existence of a community of thought regarding the relationship between mantranaya and paramitanaya. As for the outcomes of (2) and (3), we are now preparing to publish them in a special volume of the Oriental Culture (Institute for Advanced Studies on Asia, the University of Tokyo).

以下を研究代表者(桜井)の指導・助言のもと,研究分担者(Shakya)が実施した。 1、「法界語自在曼荼羅」と関連する福徳財宝の女神ヴァスダーラー(Vasudhara)は仏教のみならずヒンドゥー教及びジャイナ教でも崇敬を集める凡インド亜大陸的女神である。一方大地の女神たるヴァスンダラー(Vasundhara)も存在し、両尊の混同が縷々認められる。文献上,両尊が異なった起源と役割を有することをその語源的な解釈も含めて明らかにして,「VasundharaとVasudhara」という論題で『印度学仏教学』第59-2号に寄稿した。また、梵・蔵・漢の資料と共にネワール語にも存在するヴァスダーラーの陀羅尼、成就法などの文献に関しては「ヴァスダーラー女尊の関連文献について」と題して『密教学研究』第43号に掲載した。 2、Namasamgiti第12偈所説12母音は本タントラを理解する知る上で重要である。そこで同タントラの諸註釈と共に,ネパールカトマンドゥ盆地の起源と深い関わりを持つ典籍Svayambhupuranaの読解を通じて、それら12母音の意義を明らかにし,成果を国際チベット学会(IATS)で発表した(内容は近刊proceedingsに収載)。 3、Durgatiparisodhanatantra第一章のチベット語訳のテクスト校訂および電子ファイル化を行った。その成果は広く研究者の利用に供するべく検索可能な形式で、研究雑誌等において公表する予定である。 4、寄稿依頼に応じて,ネパール特にカトマンドゥ盆地に広く伝わっている食人鬼「グルマーパー」の伝説を『世界神話辞典』(近刊)において紹介した。

Mrtyuvancanopadesa第4章「内的なmrtyuvancana」が示すTaraの観想法と、梵文写本及びチベット大蔵経内に見在する各種「成就法集成」が収めているMrtyuvancana-Tara-sadhana・Mrtyuvancana-Sitatara-sadhana・Mrtyuvancanopadesa-Tara-sadhanaという3本の異なったmrtyuvancana-Tara成就法との比較考察を行い,同Taraの生起・観想における基本的手続きとその構造を明らかにした。更にそれら4書の所説の異同を確認した上で,それを用いて4書の成立・展開経過を明らかにした。すなわち先ず基本典籍であるMrtyuvancanopadesaをVagisvarakirtiが著し,次にそれに基づいてSitatara-sadhanaを彼の弟子が整定しTaraの独立した成就法の体裁を確立した。続いてその簡略版としてTara生起の中心部分のみを含むTara-sadhanaが編まれた。一方残るMrtyuvancanopadesa-Tara-sadhanaは以上の流れとは別に,Mrtyuvancanopadesaを直接の典拠として"Mrtyuvancanopadesaに則ったTaraの観想法とその功徳を説くことに特化した直截で単純なマニュアル"として,他の2本より後代に導き出されたと考えられるのである。以上のようにmrtyuvancana-Taraの成就法はMrtyuvancanopadesaを起点として少なくとも2種類の仕方で流伝していたことが判明したが,本成就法に関する考察を巡っては,「死を欺く(mrtyuvancana)」ために用いる尊格として何故Taraが選ばれたかの解明が,今後に向けた重要な課題になるであろう。また,Mrtyuvancanopadesaの著者Vagisvaraの思想上の位置付けをより明確にすることを目的として,彼が著したTattvaratnavalokaの梵文テクストをチベット語訳とも対照しつつ解読し,彼がチベットで「瑜伽行中観派」に属すると評される根拠を本書の記述に求め得ることを解明した。
