  1. 極値組合せ論的現象の近似群を用いた研究

    令和3年度は、群の近似構造の理解のため、擬準同型の研究を行なった（川﨑盛通氏（青山学院大学）、木村満晃氏（京都大学）、松下尚弘氏（琉球大学）、丸山修平氏（名古屋大学）との共同プロジェクト）。群とその正規部分群の組に対し、正規部分群上の擬準同型（実数値写像で、準同型写像であることの条件式を一様有界な加法的誤差で満たすもの）で斉次かつもとの群の共役作用で不変なものを「不変擬準同型」と呼び、その研究を推し進めることができた。大きな群の斉次準同型の正規部分群への制限は不変擬準同型となるが、そのような形でないもの（「拡張不能擬準同型」と呼ぶ）も状況によっては存在する。川﨑氏、木村氏、松下氏との共同研究で、双曲的閉曲面のシンプレクティック幾何微分同相群の単位元成分の可換な 2 元のフラックス写像での像のカップ積が消滅することを示した。この結果は可換な元の準同型での像の制約という代数的なものと解釈できるが、証明では Py 氏によって構成された双曲的閉曲面のハミルトン微分同相群上の Calabi 擬準同型とその拡張不能性を用いるものである。さらに、丸山氏を加えた 5 人の共同研究で、特定の状況で不変擬準同型たちのなすベクトル空間を群の通常のコホモロジー理論と結びつけることに成功した。擬準同型は 2 次の有界コホモロジー理論と結びつくことはよく知られているが、有界コホモロジーはしばしば連続無限次元になってしまう。通常のコホモロジー理論と結びつくことで、緩やかな仮定の下で拡張不能擬準同型たちのなす（商）ベクトル空間の有限次元性が示された。曲面群とその交換子部分群のようなケースでこの（有限次元）空間の非自明性も示せた。 より組合せ論的な研究として、徳重典英氏（琉球大学）との共同研究で、有限体上の連立方程式の非自明な解が存在しないような集合の濃度に関する新しい上界を得た。
