Profile

I conduct research in Agnotology, which examines history and contemporary society from the perspective of “manufactured / culturally produced ignorance.” In particular, I am interested in how various forms of knowledge and non-knowledge mediate the relationship between humans and nature, as well as the interrelation between science, technology, and society.

I have contributed to the translation / editing of the following three volumes (all in Japanese):
