    In a honeycomb-lattice Mott insulator α-RuCl3, an ultrafast magnetization is induced by circularly polarized excitation of spin-orbit excitons. An ultrafast 6-fs measurement clarifies that the orbital moment emerges from a coherent inter-orbital charge motion.

    One of the most significant issues for superconductivity is clarifying the momentum-dependent superconducting gap Δ([Formula: see text]), which is closely related to the pairing mechanism. To elucidate the gap structure, it is essential to investigate Δ([Formula: see text]) in as many different physical quantities as possible and to crosscheck the results obtained in different methods with each other. In this paper, we report a combinatorial investigation of the superfluid density and the flux-flow resistivity of iron-pnictide superconductors; LiFeAs and BaFe2(As1-xPx)2 (x = 0.3, 0.45). We evaluated Δ([Formula: see text]) by fitting these two-independent quantities with a two-band model simultaneously. The obtained Δ([Formula: see text]) are consistent with the results observed in angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy (ARPES) and scanning-tunneling spectroscopy (STS) studies. We believe our approach is a powerful method for investigating Δ([Formula: see text]) because it does not require a sample with clean surface unlike ARPES and STS experiments, or a rotational magnetic-field system for direct measurements of the angular dependence of thermodynamic quantities.

    In order to clarify the electronic state and the mechanism of energy<br /> dissipations by the motion of the vortex core in the quantum limit, we measured<br /> the microwave complex conductivity of pure FeSe single crystals in the<br /> zero-field limit and under finite magnetic fields. The temperature dependence<br /> of the superfluid density changed as $1-(T/T_{\rm c})^{1.2}$, indicating the<br /> presence of nodal lines in the superconducting gap. From the magnetic-field<br /> dependence of the flux-flow resistivity, we found that a barometer of the<br /> electronic state inside the vortex core turned out to be $\omega_0\tau_{\rm<br /> core}=1\pm0.5$. This suggests that the vortex core of pure FeSe is still in the<br /> moderately clean regime, which is inconsistent with the expectation that the<br /> super-clean core is realized in this material. We also found that the mean-free<br /> path inside the vortex core is suppressed at the distance of the order of the<br /> core radius. Based on the observed results and previous reports, we discussed<br /> possible origins of rather small $\omega_0\tau_{\rm core}$ in terms of the<br /> multiple-bands nature and additional mechanisms giving extra energy<br /> dissipations specific to the vortex core in motion.

    &lt;p&gt;FeSeは磁気相転移を伴わず構造相転移のみを示す鉄系超伝導体の中でも特異な物質である。前回の学会ではFeSe薄膜の光学スペクトル測定により、軌道秩序が形成される低温相において、ギャップが開くことなくキャリア密度が減少していることを報告した。今回我々はFe(Se,Te)薄膜における光学スペクトル測定を行い、超伝導転移温度が高い組成で軌道秩序が抑制されていることを明らかにした。講演では、Te置換に伴う電子状態の変化について議論する。&lt;/p&gt;

    &lt;p&gt;FeSeは格子の歪みによって超伝導特性が大きく変化し、例えばCaF_2_基板上に成膜したFeSe薄膜は、面内圧縮歪みを受け、バルクに比べ超伝導転移温度T_c_が上昇する。その原因を究明すべく、パルスレーザー堆積法(PLD)を用いて、LaAlO_3_基板上に面内伸張歪みを受けたFeSe薄膜を成膜し、その輸送特性を測定した。当日は、CaF_2_基板上に成膜したFeSeや、バルクの結果と比較して、歪みが輸送特性に与える影響を議論したい。&lt;/p&gt;

    &lt;p&gt;FeSeは反強磁性秩序を伴わないない構造相転移を示すため,鉄系超伝導体の中で近年特に注目されている.SeサイトをSで置換していくと構造相転移は抑制され,置換量xが0.17付近で消失することがわかっているが,x=0.2以上のバルク単結晶の合成は困難で,電子相図の理解の障害となっている.そこで我々は薄膜成長が非平衡プロセスであることを利用してFe(Se,S)単結晶薄膜の合成を試みた.発表では,薄膜育成の詳細及び作製した薄膜の輸送特性について報告する.&lt;/p&gt;

    &lt;p&gt;FeSeは、反強磁性秩序を示さず構造相転移のみが存在するため、鉄系超伝導体の中でも近年特に注目されている物質である。構造相転移に伴う軌道秩序の形成が電子状態に与える影響は明確には分かっていない。我々は、FeSe薄膜に対して赤外分光測定を行い、軌道秩序形成に伴う電荷ダイナミクスの変化を調べた。その結果、ギャップを開くことなくキャリア数が減少するという、反強磁性秩序を示す他の鉄系化合物には見られない特異な現象が起きていることが明らかになった。&lt;/p&gt;

    &lt;p&gt;我々は、マイクロ波伝導度スペクトロスコピーを用いたFeSe_1-x_Te_x_薄膜の超伝導ゆらぎの研究を行ってきた。前回の大会までに、FeSe_1-x_Te_x_薄膜において臨界ゆらぎの観測が可能であること、x = 0.5の試料については超伝導ゆらぎが3次元的であることを報告した。今回はこれまで得てきた知見に基づいて、母物質であるFeSeの薄膜についての結果を報告し、超伝導ゆらぎの組成依存性について議論する。&lt;/p&gt;

    We investigated curvature radius dependence on the electronic properties of 3D curved graphene nanoarchitecture. We found that the 3D graphene maintains its Dirac electron properties while electron scattering effects originating from the 3D curved surface systematically increase with decreasing curvature radius of the graphene sheet. Based on the electronic structure and the electrical transport properties, we clarified the integration limit of graphene sheet in the 3D nanoarchitecture employing the curvature radius as a control parameter of the system, which is essential to design the various practical devices. We also developed the technique to tune the local carrier density of 3D graphene using the modified ionic liquid gate transistor to efficiently detect the various radiation by the vast surface area of 3D graphene and demonstrated the electrical field effect controlling the PN junction.

    By using various synthesis methods, we have developed several new materials that are located in the vicinity of Kitaev spin liquids. By employing the high-pressure synthesis method, we obtained RuBr3 and RuI3, which have electronic states similar to those of Kitaev spin liquid and strongly correlated semimetal, respectively. It was also found that the solid solutions of RuBr3 and RuI3 exhibit a bandwidth-controlled-type Mott transition. By employing the soft chemical method, we obtained the carrier-doped system of RuCl3, which shows a metal-insulator transition due to the charge ordering. It was also found that the magnetic ordering observed in RuCl3 is fully suppressed in the carrier-doped system.

    By using several complementary experimental probes, we have elucidated the electronic properties of iron-based ladder compounds. It is found that the 3d electrons of Fr irons exhibit a variety of magnetic and orbital orders due to the low dimensionality, multi-orbital nature, and strongly correlated electron effects. Fluctuations of the stripe-type magnetic order/ferro-type orbital order is responsible for the formation of superconductivity, while block-type magnetic order/propeller- type orbital order shows the multiferroic phenomena.

    In this study, we investigated the electronic properties of a copper oxide ACu2O3 with a two-legged ladder structure. By using a high-pressure synthesis method, we have established a method to prepare Mg1-xLixCu2O3, and have succeeded in extending the solid solution limit for Li from x = 0.12 to x = 0.60. The temperature dependence of the electrical resistivity in Mg1-xLixCu2O3 is insulator-like, despite the finite contribution of the electronic specific heat. This is due to the localization of the doped hole carriers, which is caused by the chemical disorder of the atomic sites.

    I investigated properties of FeSe1-xTex thin films and fabricated FeSe/FeTe superlattice thin films. In FeSe1-xTex films, structural transition temperature decreases with increasing x and the highest Tc is obtained at the composition where structural transition disappears. In FeSe/FeTe superlattice films, x-ray diffraction patterns show clear satellite peaks demonstrating periodic stacking structures of FeSe and FeTe. The anisotropy of the upper critical field shows that the superconducting layer is not FeSe layer but FeTe layer because of the Se/Te interdiffusion at the interface.

    Using Pulsed Laser Deposition technique, we succeeded in synthesizing a series of epitaxial films of FeSe(1-x)Tex including the composition range where bulk crystals are not available because of the phase separation. We also succeeded in increasing Tc among these series of film samples. Utilizing the merit of our series of samples, we have performed the investigation of various physical properties, part of which is in collaborations with other research groups, as a function of Te content, x. Among the results, we obtained signals, probably corresponding to the Leggett mode, details of which are now under investigation. We also propose several new aspects of multigapped superconductors theoretically. As for the flux flow, we did not find any signature of the dissociation of the components of multiple gapped superconductivity, which is in agreement with the latest theoretical prediction.

    It is important for modern scanning microwave microscope to overcome an influence of the surface roughness. Here we report microwave imaging of phase-separated iron chalcogenide KxFeySe2 (x = 0.8, y = 1.6 - 2) using scanning tunneling/microwave microscope developed by ourselves, distinguishing electric contrast from topography-induced contrast using STM/SMM. We successfully observed the characteristic modulation of local electric property originating from mesoscopic phase separation of the metallic and the semiconducting phase in two different scanning modes; constant current mode and constant Q mode. In particular, the constant Q scanning is turned to be extremely useful because we can get an qualitative image in which topographic contrast is largely eliminated without degradation of the spatial resolution. This technique, with a further improvement, should introduce novel aspect for condensed matter physics reseraches.
