Profile

I'm a behavioral neuroscientist studying neural mechanisms for action control. I'm particularly interested in such mechanisms underlying motivational control of action vigor, flexible control of action sequences, and adaptive control of decision-making. To achieve these goals, I'm applying an interdisciplinary approach combining sophisticated animal behavioral paradigms including the use of disease models with optogenetics, chemogenetics, electrophysiology, and in vivo imaging of a specific population of neurons. I hope that my basic and translational research will contribute to our health and education in the future.
